Hogs Majors win, 11-1

INDEPENDENCE — The Houma-based Southland Hogs Majors baseball team topped East Central Louisiana 11-1 in five innings in the first round of the Dixie State Tournament on Saturday.

Jacob Neil got the victory on the mound after working the full five innings, allowing a run on three hits and striking out four.

Tanner Rainey (three RBIs) and Nick Ber (double, two RBIs) were the leading hitters for the Hogs.
